His search for the truth leads him to Burkinwell, a seemingly peaceful village seething with secrets where he becomes drawn ...。火星に赴任してきた刑事 ロス・シリバスは到着早々、カントリー歌手のケリー・マッキャノンが殺害される事件に巻き込まれる。そして、その遺体の分析結果からある事実が判明する。殺害されたのは人間ではなく、セカンドの水準を超える非合法の存在サードであったことが判明する。ロスはアミテージと共にこの事件を追うことになる。そして、その先にサードに纏わる事実も徐々にその姿を現す。。
