一天一个黑衣人拿了张CD到郭文生的碟店内出租，第二天那张CD就被巫师给租出去了，巫师听完这盘CD后身体不受自己控制，用头往墙上撞。他把CD带到HARRY家，和他说了经过，HARRY发现这张CD是几千年古埃及一位法力高强的咒师所作，原来，那位咒师当时深受法老王的宠爱，后被法老王杀死，在死之前，咒师用自己的血写了这部曲，后人只要听过这张CD就会慢慢的死去……。南贾尼饰演一名性格温和的Uber司机，某天载的乘客是一位头发斑白的警察，他正在追捕一名残忍的杀手。司机发现自己面临艰巨考验，他必须要保持冷静，保证服务质量以获得五星好评。。山田日後承認在開拍此片之前，已心諳渥美清的肺病步入末期，決定此章為最後一章，並安排由淺丘瑠璃子演的莉莉送寅次郎踏上人生的最後一程。分別15年後，兩人於如詩如畫的奄美大島重逢，感情依舊，鬥氣繼續，沒完沒了似的。正如山田所想，雖然系列必須完結，但始終不想為寅次郎的故事／人生劃上句號。結局如常開放，代表寅一直繼續他的旅程，日本人依然有夢。 公映後翌年，渥美清病逝，享年68歲，本片亦成為他的遺作。 Yamada knew before production began that Atsumi's health has deteriorated to such an extent that Tora-san to the Rescue would be the last film in the series.
