《十二星座离奇事件》的故事将围绕一本星座小说展开，小说中的人物因为各自星座的致命弱点而离奇地一一死去。他透露，创作这部电影的初衷也是源于自己对于星座的浓厚兴趣，并自曝是个绝对的“星座控”。“当初选演员，很大程度上我也参考了演员本身的星座，包括演员身上这个星座的特质是否明显。”。故事讲述未来世界被恐怖的变异怪兽占领，幸存者被分割成小型部落，艰难地为生存而战。其中一个部落中的几个年轻人逃离了怪兽们的一次围攻，因而发现了外面有更多的人类生存，虽然他们过得其实也挺惨。。This season began merely two whole weeks after the first season had ended, on April 19, 2008, with the airing of "The Elite Guard", and ended on July 5, 2008, with the two-parter, "A Bridge Too Close".
