In 1974, the Portuguese and their descendants fled Angola where nationalist groups gradually claimed their territory back. A tribal girl discovers love and death when her path crosses that of a Portuguese soldier. Then, a Portuguese squad is barracked inside a wall from which they will have to escape once the past comes out of the grave to claim its long-awaited justice.。《浊流》分为三个篇章，分别改编自明治时期日本女作家樋口一叶的三个短篇小说《十三夜》、《除夕》和《浊流》。导演今井正是50年代日本左派电影的代表人物，本片他以女性的命运作为故事的发展主线，细致展示了明治时期市井百姓的生活。。影片讲述生活在湖心岛的小龙虾虾宝为了寻找“真元”在外历练，得知湖心岛被以蝗爷为首的蝗虫大军占领、师父下落不明，众师兄被抓后，毅然反抗并最终理解什么是真元而打败蝗爷的冒险故事。。
