All of this is complicated when it is suspected that another man is the real agent, and the defector but a decoy.。本作以现代日本为舞台，描述了一群穿梭于历史的阴影之中的神秘群体——封刃师。这世间的邪气，会寻找人们的怨恨、妒忌、愤怒，并与其一起相互交织而形成可怕的秽刃，杀人于无形，被害者只会化为常人无法看到的灰烬飘散而去。而封刃师正是拥有看见这世间的污秽并将其封印的人，只是这行侠仗义背后的牺牲远比想象的更加无情……。大導演張徹拍攝的少林電影，在七十年代把功夫片推上新的高潮。本片主要交代少林三大俗家弟子洪熙官（陳觀泰）、方世玉（傅聲）、胡惠乾（戚冠軍）的事蹟。故事描述，明末，明將吳三桂賣國降清，清官招降納叛，廣收武當、峨嵋派的江湖敗類，勾結地方惡霸，向少林子弟趕盡殺絕，洪、方、胡等處在重重危機險惡之中……。
