二战末期，日本首都东京受到连日轰炸，大量死去的冤魂使东京的破坏之魔加藤复活。日本力界的指导人物高僧阿弥光凰想用灵力救出快要失败的日本，施展法力时加藤突然出现，计划落空。拥有灵力的青年男女中村和雪子，为了保护东京，和军队都不能抵挡的加藤展开了决斗。Two narrators, one seen and one unseen, discuss possible connections between a series of paintings. The on-screen narrator walks through three-dimensional reproductions of each painting, featuring real people, sometimes moving, in an effort to explain the series' significance.。
