Comedy about the proverbial genie who comes out of a bottle (a table lamp in this instance) to serve his new master. The only problem is that instead of helping his master, the genie (Burl Ives) tends to get his master (Tony Randall) into more predicaments than he gets him out of.。柯克跟他怀孕七个月的老婆皮皮刚搬进新家,就因为一场突然爆发的致命流感而被困在自己的公寓里。旁边的邻居们变成了非常可怕的敌人。柯克被迫与古怪却拥有很多储备的邻居欧拉西奥一起行动,保护自己及妻子。与此同时,整个世界已不是人们熟悉的那个样子了……。
