This film recounts the lives and deaths of various victims of AIDS who are commemorated in the AIDS quilt. It is a massive cloth collecting each piece as a memorial for each victim of the disease to both show the death toll and to show the humanity of the victims to those who would rather demonize them.。云翠花本来有两个女儿，一次车祸，小女儿云佳儿下落不明，母亲寻女无望，只好把全部心力放在另一个女儿云婉儿身上。十年后，婉儿考上了重点大学，为了筹齐学费，母亲一天打三份工赚钱，甚至落下了肾病。云婉儿答应母亲，等出人头地一定接母亲进城。。
