Actually, they swore to one day go to Am...。日本警视厅特殊部队（SIT）小队长濑文焚流（加濑亮 饰），在一次执行任务时遭遇队友的离奇死亡，面对高层他百口莫辩，最终被调职到公安部公安第五课——不明事件调查科。该部门专门调查一些匪夷所思的超自然案件，当然在所谓“科学昌明”的现代化社会，这也意味着第五课是一个很难得到认可的边缘部门。除濑文外，第五课只有油滑的上司野野村光太郎和智商高达201的怪女孩当麻纱绫（户田惠梨香 饰）。在此期间，预言师、神之手等各种各样拥有超能力（SPEC）的人物接连登场。 濑文在和当麻办案的过程中，渐渐趋近了一个鲜为人知且充满阴谋和秘密的未知世界……。
