《从太阳出击》（英语：Solar Crisis）为1990年由日美共同合作的科幻片。 学习研究社和NHK的子公司NHK Enterprise投注了70亿日元在这部电影上(到最后还倒贴14亿日元)，导演为执导“Vanishing Point”的Richard C. A baby boy, Theo, is born towards the end of the season. This is contrasted with the fate that awaits Sipowicz's older son, Andy Jr., who announces that he is to join the police force.
