Series 2 (2000) The second series sees a deadly epidemic of nosebleeds grip the town's inhabitants, killing many. The plot is resolved after some confusion over the cause of the nosebleeds, involving butcher Hilary Briss' "special stuff", Benjamin Denton's escape from his relatives, and the murders in the Local Shop.。生产队大食堂就要解散了，村民们都在发愁吃了这最后一顿，下一顿饭的着落。生产队长为了村民们的口粮，暗地里将大家缴的公粮每次都留下一部分，在最困难的时候将这些粮食分发给了村民们。有贵到隔壁村去看望老姑，正巧赶上桂枝的母亲病重，他不怕受传染将桂枝的母亲送往了卫生站……。
