河马本在非洲，怎会流落南美？又怎说起人类语言，叩问我来自何方、为何讲话、为何被杀等大哉问，仿佛是位哲学家？70年代，哥伦比亚毒枭走私河马，圈养在家当宠物。毒枭死后河马逃窜荒野、繁衍成群，政府认定数量失控、批准猎杀，佩佩成为美洲史上第一只被枪杀的河马。本片以佩佩的死后独白为舵，驾驶狂想飞船穿梭时空，上溯当年莫名渡海来异乡，下述偶遇人类引误解，并将河马的外来种命运化为隐喻，折射出阶级、殖民、独裁等多重命题。。Yaşar, a young man, has a hard time after his father's death. His inheritance from his father causes Yaşar to have problems with his stepmother. Meanwhile, Yaşar learns that her sister-in-law, Canan, who is living in the same house, is in love with her. While Yaşar is dealing with the inheritance issue and his sister-in-law, he realizes that there are some strange events at hom...。
