This story is based where the skateboard culture is the most foreign, the Midwest. Derrick Cabrera, like all skaters, has a dream of being sponsored and one day going pro. He is an up and coming skater with all the talent but has the world against him. Parents, friends and schoolmates can't understand how Derrick has so much passion for something that has no future in their eye...。被裁員的台幹阿國回到台灣，和找不到工作的女兒巧寧在同個屋簷下生活，彼此隱滿，只是想維繫得來不易的幸福快樂。阿國靠著假扮記者，騙吃騙喝，巧寧每天打詐騙電話，混口飯吃，當彼此的謊言被揭穿時，他們要如何面對……。讲述了南非的一个白人小男孩和两个黑人服务员的故事。哈里是个在南非长大的白人小孩，山姆和威利是他家餐厅的两个服务员，哈里从小就跟他们感情很好，他们对哈里来说亦师亦友。哈里的父亲是个爱酗酒的残疾人，他要从医院回家的消息使得哈里心烦意乱。。。父亲强迫他听种族歧视的笑话，他因为父亲感到羞愧难忍，最终还是山姆帮他恢复了自信。。
